Louisiana Republicans are finally waking up. Senator Bill Cassidy, a card-carrying member of the D.C. establishment, is now stumbling in his own backyard. A fresh poll has Cassidy falling all the way down to third place in his party’s primary. Apparently, voters are sick and tired of bloated politicians who talk conservative at home, then go soft and bow to the D.C. swamp the minute they cross state lines.
The numbers don’t lie. It’s Rep. Julia Letlow—an unapologetic America First conservative—who’s leading the charge with a commanding share of support. She isn’t interested in playing footsie with Democrats or cutting deals with globalist elites. Ordinary people in Louisiana want bold fighters in Washington, not weak-kneed Republicans who fold every time the left gets nasty.
Let’s face it, Cassidy burned his own base when he turned his back on President Trump and voted in lockstep with the left’s witch-hunt impeachment circus. Conservatives in Louisiana have a long memory. Cassidy chose the Beltway over his own people. Now, the voters are choosing someone else. This primary isn’t just about one Senate seat—it’s a referendum on old-guard Republicans clinging to power while the country is burning.
While leftwing activists and legacy media cheer for chaos on the border and Biden’s mindless economic policies, Louisiana Republicans are saying enough is enough. They’re not fooled by career politicians who promise action, then hand more power to the same Democrats destroying our nation’s sovereignty and smothering our freedom. Cassidy thought he could outlast the conservatives and ride out his unpopularity. He was dead wrong.
The writing’s on the wall: Republicans are ready for a total course correction. The days of spineless, go-along-to-get-along Republicans are numbered. If the establishment doesn’t like it, maybe they should sign up to run as Democrats. After all, that’s whose interests they seem to be defending. Is Cassidy really surprised he’s sinking? That’s what happens when you betray your voters and kneel before the left. Time for fresh blood and real courage in Washington—no more RINOs.
