Iran has once again shown its true colors on the world stage. News is breaking that the U.S. is set to unfreeze another $5 billion in assets for Tehran. If this story sounds familiar, that’s because it is. It’s the same shameful playbook that saw pallets of cash delivered to the mullahs during Obama’s era—piles of untraceable bills just handed over while they laughed behind our backs.
Left-wing politicians love to fantasize about Iran as a reasonable, trustworthy partner in negotiations. In reality, Iran has proven over and over that it cannot be trusted. The regime openly lies, stirs up chaos, and pushes deadly anti-American agendas. Every time Americans decide to “trust” Iran, they walk all over us and take exactly what they want. Why should the world’s biggest sponsor of terrorism get another dime of U.S. assets?
It’s clear the liberals are more interested in looking “diplomatic” for their globalist friends than in protecting this country. Money that could help Americans is instead handed off to a regime that jails dissidents, funds terrorists, and calls for the destruction of our closest allies. The sad truth is that these deals are less about peace and more about appeasing radical regimes and the international elite.
Another $5 billion in Iranian pockets isn’t just foolish—it’s dangerous. What signal does this send? That America is weak, that we can be swindled and lied to without consequence. It sends a message to Iran and every other bad actor that if they just keep making wild claims, the Biden administration will keep caving in. Do liberals ever learn, or is selling out our interests part of their plan?
The facts are plain: Iran lies, cheats, and demands, while U.S. liberals bend the knee every time. Who’s really benefiting here? Not the American people. Maybe the Left should remember that leadership means standing up to tyrants, not handing over the keys and pretending it’s progress.
