The California congressman, who built a career shouting at Donald Trump and lecturing conservatives about “morals,” just watched his entire campaign blow up in his face after damning sexual assault allegations surfaced. This isn’t fake news or whispers from the sidelines. Multiple women are publicly stepping forward—some were even Swalwell’s own staffers. But if you thought the media or the left would treat one of their own the same way they went after Justice Kavanaugh, think again.
While the leftist #MeToo crowd loves to pound their chests about believing women, they seem to lose their voices when the accused is a Democrat with a blue checkmark. Swalwell rushed to social media with a cringe-worthy video, looking more nervous than presidential, denying everything. But his excuses sound weak—especially when he’s caught lying about election dates, fumbling over past “mistakes” with his wife, and pretending this is all just some vast right-wing attack. It isn’t. These serious accusations are coming from women who actually worked for him, not some anonymous Twitter account half a world away.
The panic has set in for Team Swalwell. His own party—the so-called champions of women—are suddenly desperate to distance themselves. Rival candidates like Katie Porter and Tom Steyer have trampled over him, demanding he drop out of the governor’s race and disappear from public life. Even top-tier Democrats are backing away faster than Joe Biden from a press conference without a teleprompter. His campaign war chest might as well be empty after losing his endorsements overnight. This is more than just a political stumble. It’s a total wipeout.
The hypocrisy here is enough to make your head spin. Swalwell pranced around lecturing Americans about morality for years, trying to humiliate conservatives at every turn. Now, when the floodlights are shining on him, his only defense is denial and misdirection. Where are the talking heads from CNN? Where is the wall-to-wall coverage? Suddenly, it’s all crickets from the “woke” crowd. If a Republican faced even one percent of these allegations, the mob would have demanded a resignation before sunrise.
Maybe this meltdown will be a wake-up call. For too long, liberal elites act like the rules are for everyone else. They smear, lecture, and pretend their hands are clean. Who’s surprised, really, that one of the left’s loudest anti-Trump blowhards might just end up being another frail hypocrite exposed by his own arrogance? When will voters stop letting these globalist, anti-American phonies hide behind their blue ties and “progressive” badges?
