California Democrat Eric Swalwell flees governor race after assault claims

California Democrats never disappoint when it comes to scandals. Yet again, one of their darlings finds himself running for the hills. This time, Rep. Eric Swalwell has decided to hit pause on his dreams of becoming governor. Why? Because multiple women have come forward accusing him of sexual assault. That’s not just bad optics—that’s a complete disaster for the left’s so-called “party of women.”

Swalwell, like many liberal elites, has always talked up his own moral superiority. He’s loved lecturing the rest of America about what’s right and wrong. But when the spotlight turns on him, suddenly all the rules go out the window. These politicians wave the #MeToo flag until it threatens their own careers, then they clam up and hope we just forget. Guess what? People aren’t forgetting.

Is anyone surprised that this is California’s biggest news? The state has been a playground for the rich and powerful, while everyday families suffer under sky-high taxes, rampant crime, and socialist policies. Now, the left’s rising star bows out, not because of poor leadership, but because of serious accusations that would get any conservative run out of town in a heartbeat. Yet, watch the mainstream media treat this like just another little hiccup.

Let’s be honest: The Democrats only care about their image, not real justice. If Swalwell had an “R” next to his name, the outrage would be off the charts, and his career would be over before he finished his first press release. But in the liberal world, their own get a special pass—until the heat gets too high for even their most loyal donors to handle.

Californians deserve better than the hypocrites and predators that the Democrat machine keeps churning out. How many scandals will it take before voters finally wake up and demand real leaders with real values? Or is this just what we should expect from the party that put globalist interests and leftist virtue-signaling above protecting women and families?
