Nuns punished for caring for cancer patients as New York cracks down on religious charities

New York’s war on faith has hit a disgusting new low. A group of Catholic nuns who run a free hospice for poor cancer patients just got slapped with an outrageous state law. Their crime? Daring to follow their faith instead of bowing down to the radical gender activists in Albany.

These nuns donate their lives, working day and night to comfort the dying. They give compassion, not lectures. They provide beds and dignity, not political slogans. And now, thanks to the iron-fisted demands from Governor Kathy Hochul and her elite bureaucrats, they’re being told they must give up their religious beliefs—or they’ll face fines, maybe even criminal charges.

All of this comes from a so-called “gender identity” mandate written by out-of-touch liberals who have never run a charity, never wiped a sick patient’s brow, and wouldn’t know a shred of real service if it jumped off the page of a globalist funding report. These politicians claim to be champions of tolerance, yet they refuse to tolerate basic Christian principles. They claim to stand for the marginalized, but they’re punishing people who care for the weakest among us.

Religious Americans better wake up. If government can bully cancer nurses and nuns, who will be next? How long before churches, charities, even parents are forced to abandon faith in order to please a tiny radical minority? The hypocrisy stinks. The same leftists who scream about “separation of church and state” now use the power of the state to crush the church.

This isn’t about inclusion. It’s another liberal power grab, using identity politics to silence anyone who stands in the way. Hochul and her puppet-masters in the New York machine made it clear: obey—or else. These nuns must be punished simply because they put their conscience before woke dogma. Is this what America stands for now?

It shouldn’t be a crime to love your neighbor. But in today’s New York, it looks like faith is the real offense. When will this madness end?
