It’s getting harder every day to tell the difference between certain Republicans and the radical Democrats they claim to oppose. Case in point: Rep. Maria Salazar from Florida. With the border blowing wide open and Americans fed up with lawlessness, Salazar is now pushing her so-called “DIGNIDAD Act.” What’s her big idea? Hand out amnesty to illegal aliens so Republicans can “prove” to Democrats that they’re not racist.
You read that right. Instead of fighting for the rule of law, or standing up for American citizens and legal immigrants, Salazar wants the GOP to play into the left’s racial games. She’s fallen for the oldest liberal trick in the book—accuse your opponents of racism until they cave. And here she is, caving hard, ready to let millions of illegal border crossers put down roots, all in the name of winning brownie points from the people who want to destroy the Republican Party.
This is typical D.C. swamp behavior. Globalists and open-border advocates love to trot out emotional excuses for breaking the law. They want us to ignore reality and pass out citizenship like it’s candy. But no country on earth has survived by rewarding those who break its laws. America is not racist for enforcing its borders—America is simply a nation with the right to decide who comes here.
The left loves to shout about “inclusion” while they tear down sovereignty and security. They say Republicans need to prove they’re not racist, but they’re really just after one thing: a permanent voter base loyal to their agenda. Meanwhile, working Americans are left to clean up the mess—pay higher taxes, watch their neighborhoods change overnight, and lose faith that their politicians represent them at all.
Why should Republicans keep bending over backward to please their enemies? When will conservatives stop playing defense and actually fight for the people who elected them? The only thing this kind of amnesty “proves” is weakness. If the GOP keeps pandering to left-wing labels, they’ll have no base left to defend. Here’s a bold idea: How about standing up for American citizens for once? Maybe that’s what real dignity looks like.
