Ro Khanna tries to grill Big Oil but gets schooled on California’s real energy crisis

California Democrats love to act like they’re the smartest in the room. But when it comes to energy, Rep. Ro Khanna just got handed a lesson. He marched in, chest puffed up, ready to grill Big Oil execs—but it was Khanna who became the punchline. Liberal politicians love to play hero and claim they’re saving the planet. In reality, all they do is hurt regular Americans.

Instead of focusing on real issues, Khanna pounced on oil companies, blaming them for high gas prices. It’s the oldest liberal trick: Find a scapegoat, and lecture the public like we’re fools. Does he forget who controls California’s sky-high gas taxes and policies strangling the energy sector? It’s his own party, crushing small businesses and working families with their “green” fantasy.

What’s worse, Khanna and his progressive crowd want to crush oil jobs—American jobs—while begging OPEC and China for handouts. They love to bash our domestic industry but have no problem cozying up to foreign polluters. That’s the Democrat way: Destroy what works here, then turn around and buy it back from places with no standards. Talk about hypocrisy.

Big Oil executives didn’t bite their tongues. They spelled it out: If you tie up American companies with red tape, prices are going to rise. It’s common sense, but apparently, that’s in short supply in California’s political circles. Khanna didn’t want answers. He wanted to force a narrative—one that hurts America and helps far-left globalists.

Why do Democrats never learn? You don’t mess with American energy independence. Khanna may enjoy his Hollywood moments, but hardworking families deserve better than more empty lectures and higher bills. Maybe he should spend a day at the gas pump before blaming everyone but himself. Has common sense gone extinct in California?
