Democrats in Virginia just made their latest play to rig the presidential game in their favor. By joining the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, they’ve moved one step closer to tossing out the voices of everyday Virginians. Now, their electoral votes will go not to the actual winner of Virginia, but to whoever grabs the national popular vote—even if it’s completely out of sync with the will of the people in Virginia. This is big government at its worst: abandoning local voters for the sake of a power grab that only helps the radical Left.
Let’s call this what it is—a cheap end-run around the Electoral College, designed for one reason only: to put Democrats in the White House forever. Liberals couldn’t care less about fairness. If they really did, they wouldn’t be working so hard to twist the rules. The point of the Electoral College is to make sure that every state, even the smaller ones, has a voice. Without it, the big blue states like California and New York call all the shots. Sound familiar? That’s exactly what the left wants.
These same Democrats claim this is about “democracy.” But who are they kidding? They never dreamed Republicans might win the popular vote again. They cooked up this scheme thinking it would guarantee them victory every time. Just imagine the meltdown if, for once, the popular vote went to a conservative—think they’d honor their own law? Not a chance. When push comes to shove, the left always finds a loophole if it serves their agenda.
Here’s the real danger: as more states sign on, this compact creeps closer to its goal—handing over the presidency to whoever can harvest the most votes in liberal strongholds. They’ve racked up 222 electoral votes so far, and more could follow. Add in Democrat plans to flood voter rolls with non-citizens, and it’s clear they’re not interested in protecting American elections. They’re interested in one thing—locking conservatives out of the White House for good.
Americans have to wake up. If the left gets away with this, our voices in “flyover country” will be stomped out by the mob in the cities. Conservatives need to fight this with everything we’ve got, or pretty soon, the only votes that matter will be those approved by woke elites and globalist donors. What will be left of our Republic then?
