Los Angeles politicians have lost their minds—and their priorities. While real problems pile up and families struggle, the local government is burning cash on a so-called “rehab” for a historic park. Forget crime, homelessness, or even the basic dignity of keeping public spaces clean and safe. Instead, officials are scrambling to paper over decades of failure with more big spending and empty promises.
Anyone can see it: some of LA’s most iconic spots have turned into lawless, trashed, and dangerous zones. Parks that should shine as the heart of the city are instead overrun with tents, used needles, and filth. Liberals in City Hall keep throwing money at “solutions,” but the mess only gets worse. What good is renovating a park if you can’t even keep it safe for kids and families? Maybe these politicians care more about ribbon-cuttings than about doing their jobs.
The real insult? Look at where the money is going. Millions funneled into cosmetic fixes, consultants, and trendy “sustainability” projects that make rich bureaucrats and globalist firms happy—but they don’t clean up the crime or homelessness strangling the area. If you listen to the elites running LA, painting a few benches and planting some trees counts as progress. Meanwhile, taxpayers get nothing but higher bills and less security.
It’s liberal hypocrisy on full display. The same people who lecture everyone about “equity” and “justice” are too busy virtue signaling to actually protect parks for the families who need them most. Parks aren’t safe. They’re cesspools—and until leaders put safety and order first, nothing else matters. Every dollar wasted on hollow projects only covers up the rot beneath.
Los Angeles doesn’t need another political photo op or a flashy press release. It needs leaders with the guts to enforce the law, clean up the mess, and defend American families—not woke special interests. Otherwise, these iconic parks will keep circling the drain. Why is it so hard for these liberals to put citizens and common sense first?
