Twelve years have passed since Boko Haram stormed into Chibok and ripped almost 300 schoolgirls from their families, yet still, the world hears the same story: More than 80 of those young women remain lost. The so-called “global community” wrung its hands, tweeted hashtags, and moved on. The liberal elite wanted to look righteous while ignoring the ugly truth. Where was the real outrage? Where’s the action?
Nigeria today is just as dangerous, if not worse, for Christians. Militants walk free, hunting down believers while politicians in fancy offices make empty speeches. This isn’t just some faraway tragedy. It’s a crystal-clear reminder of what happens when radical Islamic terror is given a free pass — and when the West refuses to get its hands dirty. Real Christian families are terrorized, churches are burned, and faith is under siege. But the mainstream media yawns, focused on climate hysteria and “diversity” quotas instead. Liberal priorities, right?
Let’s face facts: Progressives love to pay lip service to “girls’ education” and “human rights,” but when the victims are Christian girls in Africa, their silence is deafening. The Biden administration and Europe’s ruling classes are more interested in virtue-signaling than stopping the real evil in our world. Maybe standing up to barbarism is too politically inconvenient for them. There’s no foreign contract or climate summit photo-op in it, after all.
For over a decade, Boko Haram and its allies have turned northern Nigeria into a war zone. Meanwhile, billions in foreign aid have poured into corrupt pockets, thanks to clueless globalist bureaucrats who care more about optics than outcomes. Not a single “hashtag campaign” rescued these girls. All the hand-holding at the United Nations has done nothing to keep Christians safe, or to punish those who traffic in terror. If this isn’t proof that the global liberal agenda protects no one but itself, what is?
How much more blood has to be spilled, how many more Christian girls have to vanish, before the West admits its failure? It’s time to quit the phony outrage and start demanding real leadership. Maybe the so-called “human rights champions” are too busy looking the other way. Or maybe this is exactly the chaos they want — weak, divided, and easy to control. Makes you wonder: Whose side are they really on?
