New York’s ruling elites never miss a chance to trample on faith. Now, a group of Catholic nuns is in their crosshairs simply for refusing to bow down to woke ideology. Their so-called crime? They won’t toss aside their religious beliefs just to satisfy the left’s nonstop demands for LGBT approval in every corner of society—even a nursing home for terminal cancer patients.
Governor Kathy Hochul’s administration is showing Americans exactly what “tolerance” means in Democrat-run states. For years, these nuns have humbly cared for the sick and dying, offering comfort at life’s hardest moments. You’d think the state would support them. Instead, the government is threatening to shut their doors if they don’t surrender everything their faith stands for.
This isn’t about equal treatment. It’s about liberal officials using raw government power to stomp out any faith-based organization that won’t parrot their radical agenda. The message is loud and clear: in Hochul’s New York, your good deeds mean nothing if you don’t bend the knee to leftist dogma. The nuns serve people when they need it most—but in the eyes of Albany bureaucrats, their religious convictions make them public enemies.
We see this same hypocrisy time and time again. Progressives love to brag about diversity and freedom—until Christians try to live their beliefs. Then, “diversity” becomes code for forced conformity. Hochul and her allies talk about compassion, but apparently only for those who agree with them. If that means shutting down a care facility for the sick, so be it—ideology comes first.
How long will Americans put up with this nonsense? If nuns can’t practice their faith without government threats, no one’s freedom is safe. The far left isn’t just coming for statues or school curriculums—they’re coming after anyone with the guts to stand firm. Since when did religious liberty become a crime in this country?
