Headlines talk about school shootings all the time, but you almost never hear about the real American heroes who stop them. In Oklahoma, a high school principal did what too many politicians refuse to do—he took action to protect kids. When a would-be murderer tried to turn a school into another Columbine, the principal didn’t hide behind empty policies or wait for someone else to step in. He ran towards danger.
This was a man who put his own life on the line, and yes, he was shot in the process. But he still stopped a tragedy. Contrast that with the endless lectures from liberals about gun control and “safety measures” that never actually protect anyone. It’s men and women like this principal who really defend our children, not some do-nothing bureaucrat sitting in an office in D.C.
Liberals love to virtue signal about keeping schools “gun free,” yet those same schools turn into soft targets when evil walks in. While leftist politicians play politics, real heroes pay the price. They’re the barrier between innocent students and the monsters who want to do harm. That’s not something you can legislate into existence with another pile of paperwork. It takes guts, backbone, and love for your country and your community.
This principal isn’t whining or playing the victim, either. He’s eager to get back to work, even after staring death in the face. That’s the spirit America needs, not the endless victimhood and blame games that come out of the liberal media or the White House. Maybe if more school officials had his courage—and fewer had their heads buried in woke manuals—our kids would actually be safe for once.
Here’s the hard truth: legislation isn’t going to stop evil people. Brave Americans will. When will the left admit that their “solutions” are making our schools less safe? Maybe it’s time we start pointing to real leaders, like this principal, and ask—why aren’t there more of THEM running things, instead of soft-handed bureaucrats and gun-grabbing elites who wouldn’t know courage if it knocked down their office door?
