Eric Swalwell’s time in Congress has ended, and not a moment too soon. After ducking and dodging for years, he’s finally been forced out by a flood of sexual assault allegations. This is the same man who loved to lecture everyone else about morality and “doing the right thing.” Yet when it came to his own dark secrets, he hid behind the Democratic machine and their shameless media cheerleaders.
Liberals are scrambling now, pretending they never saw the warning signs. But everyone remembers how quick Swalwell was to attack conservatives at every turn, pretending to be the great protector of democracy. Now it turns out, he couldn’t even protect his own staff or live up to the standards he shoved onto others. The hypocrisy is enough to make your head spin.
Why do scandals like this always seem to fester on the left? The Democrats run around talking about justice and accountability, but look the other way when it’s one of their own. They say they stand for women’s rights—until powerful liberal men get caught. Then it’s all hush-hush, cover-up, and spin.
Maybe it’s because the elites in Washington think they can get away with anything. There are two sets of rules: one for normal Americans, and another for poseurs like Swalwell. He was more interested in chasing fame and cozying up to globalist interests than serving the people who sent him to Congress in the first place.
Good riddance. America deserves leaders who aren’t hypocrites, who put the country first—not themselves. The left will keep making excuses, but the facts are unmovable. The only question now is how many more corrupt, arrogant politicians will it take before voters wake up?
