Why the Vatican Demands Open Borders for America While Hiding Behind Its Own Walls

If there’s one thing that really gets under the skin of Americans who actually care about our country’s future, it’s being lectured about immigration by people who don’t have to deal with the fallout. Take these Catholic leaders, for example. The Vatican sits behind walls taller than your average border fence, protected by armed Swiss Guards who don’t play around. Yet somehow, they think they get to scold Americans for having enough backbone to expect our borders to mean something.

Let’s get real: folks like Pope Leo XIV love criticizing strong immigration enforcement, but they’re living in their own protected bubble. Ordinary Americans, Border Patrol agents, and families along the southern border are the ones who face the real dangers. Human trafficking, drugs pouring in, and innocent children getting hurt — that’s what a weak border creates. Unlike armchair bishops cashing government checks to “resettle” whoever wants in, Americans are left to pick up the pieces.

Ask anyone who’s spent years actually working the border, like Tom Homan—a lifelong Catholic himself who knows pain and tragedy too well. He’s watched lives destroyed by criminal cartels taking advantage of our open doors. He’s seen victims that the mainstream media and self-righteous globalists love to ignore. The only “compassion” the left seems to care about is for lawbreakers, not the families left to bury their loved ones after a smuggler’s truck turns into a deathtrap on US soil.

Funny how the Vatican’s strict rules for itself never get mentioned. They won’t let just anyone walk in and set up shop inside their city walls. But when it comes to America, apparently we have no right to ask for order, sanity, or even basic safety. It’s not just hypocritical — it’s insulting. The Catechism they love to wave in our faces actually says countries should welcome immigrants only as far as they can handle, and those immigrants owe respect for the laws and culture where they go. Open borders? That’s not Christianity. That’s chaos, plain and simple.

What gets lost is the truth: Strong borders are compassionate — for Americans and migrants alike. President Trump proved a secure border saves lives and chokes the cash flow for lawless cartels. The radical left can scream all they want, but America was safer, prouder, and more united when illegal immigration was under control. Maybe next time the “compassionate” elite or globalist clergy want to weigh in, they should try walking a mile in the dusty boots of a Border Patrol agent before preaching to the rest of us. Why should America be the only country shamed for valuing its own?
