The Justice Department is finally turning its attention to Eric Swalwell, the Democrat darling from California who just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Multiple women have come forward, accusing the former congressman and would-be governor of sexual assault and misconduct. That’s right—one of the left’s main cheerleaders is facing devastating allegations, and it looks like the DOJ is getting off its hands to take a look.
But where’s the outrage from the loudmouth liberals? When any accusation hits a conservative, the left and its media lapdogs swarm like vultures. They scream for resignations, throw tantrums, and pretend to care about victims. Yet when it’s one of their own, especially someone as cozy with the globalist establishment as Swalwell, it’s nothing but crickets. Hypocrisy has always been the left’s favorite game.
Let’s not forget, Swalwell is hardly a stranger to controversy. This guy was all too friendly with a Chinese spy, and yet he was showered with committee appointments and CNN airtime. Now, with shocking accusations from multiple women, he’s still getting the kid-glove treatment from the so-called watchdogs in D.C. and the mainstream press. It’s just another sign that Democrats think they’re above the rules they love to impose on everyone else.
This mess also exposes just how broken the left’s entire “believe women” mantra really is. Democrats only “believe” victims if it helps them destroy a Republican. The second one of their puppets is accused, the story gets buried, the victims are ignored, and the spin machine goes to work. Americans are sick and tired of these double standards and the constant excuse-making from a corrupt, out-of-touch elite.
Are we watching justice finally catch up to yet another Democrat hypocrite—or is the swamp just putting on another show? Either way, the question every American should be asking is: Would Eric Swalwell be in handcuffs already if his name were Donald Trump, not a loyal leftist from California?
