Another one bites the dust in the Biden administration’s endless parade of failures. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons is packing his bags this spring. It’s no surprise, since chaos and confusion have become the norm at the highest levels of immigration enforcement under Biden’s watch. America’s borders are a mess, and now the guy in charge is jumping ship.
This isn’t some random bureaucrat quietly retiring. Lyons had only just taken the reins at ICE a little more than a year ago. Now, he’s quitting when the nation is in the middle of an historic border crisis. What kind of “leadership” is that? Those on the front lines are exhausted, overwhelmed, and angry. Still, the only thing the White House seems eager to protect is its collapsing poll numbers—not Americans’ safety.
We know why Lyons and others are leaving. The far-left’s open border agenda has turned ICE into a political punching bag instead of a law enforcement powerhouse. Liberals pander to the globalist elite, bowing to woke activists who scream that enforcing our laws is somehow “inhumane.” Meanwhile, real Americans pick up the pieces as crime and chaos spill into our neighborhoods.
This is what happens when Democrats care more about foreign citizens than their own country. Every resignation is proof that the left has no real plan to secure our border. Their idea of “compassion” is to tie the hands of ICE and blame everyone but themselves for the disaster. When things fall apart, they find a scapegoat, pat themselves on the back, and keep pushing their anti-American agenda.
Lyons’ exit is only the latest symptom of a failing system. Who will want the job next, knowing they’ll get thrown under the bus by spineless politicians? Maybe that’s the point. Maybe the left is happy to let the borders collapse, so they can build their dream of a borderless America. Are citizens really expected to believe anyone in this administration takes our safety seriously?
