Europeans rush to take credit after Trump does the hard work in Middle East

It looks like Europe’s so-called “leaders” want to play international hero—after the heavy lifting is already done by real leadership. Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer are busy plotting a brand-new “peacekeeping” mission in the Middle East. But where have these globalist elites been while the tough decisions were being made? They waited until President Trump acted first, and now they want to strut onto the world stage as if they had a plan from the start.

Once again, the Europeans prove they have no appetite for decisive action. While Washington leads, Europe dithers and shuffles, fretting about what might upset Iran or their pals in Brussels. Macron and Starmer don’t move an inch until the path is safe and clear—thanks to American strength. Only after Trump opened up a mission to secure Hormuz do the European liberals finally offer to show up, long after the real work is finished.

The so-called “peacekeeping” label is just a cover. It’s an excuse for bureaucrats to send meaningless statements and dress up their weak appeasement as bravery. Iran isn’t fooled, and neither is anyone who’s paying attention. This is about looking important on the world stage without ever taking a real risk. The liberal playbook is always the same: wait for America to stand firm, then pretend to be peacemakers while cashing the political points back home.

It’s amazing how quick progressive leaders are to talk about “global cooperation” when Trump has already paved the way. Behind every soft promise of diplomacy is a record of failing to act when crises actually hit. These are the people who criticized tough American action, only to quietly hitch a ride on its coattails when the dust settles. Remember, this is Europe—the same folks who rely on the U.S. military for real security while sneering at American resolve.

This is the liberal way: let someone else lead, and then claim victory when it’s all but handed to them. Why do Macron and Starmer get to pose as statesmen when they’re just benchwarmers, waiting for Trump to do the heavy lifting? Maybe next time, Europe should learn what real leadership looks like—from Washington, not Brussels.
