It’s been an entire week since Democrat Eric Swalwell resigned in disgrace amid shocking rape allegations. And yet, America’s so-called “late night comics,” Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, have been downright silent. Not a single joke. Not even a mention. For two men who claim to speak truth to power, their cowardice is stunning but hardly surprising.
Whenever a Republican is accused of anything, even something as minor as sneezing the wrong way, Kimmel and Colbert can’t wait to pounce. They spit out snark, sarcasm, and fake outrage by the minute. But as soon as a Democrat gets caught in an actual scandal, they clam up. It’s the same old song and dance from the liberal elite—protect their own at any cost, ignore the truth, and hope the public forgets. This isn’t comedy. It’s propaganda dressed up as late-night banter.
The left has drilled into our culture this idea that their side is noble and morally pure, while everyone else is backward and evil. Yet, when a major Democrat faces credibility-shattering allegations, the loudest progressive celebrities suddenly lose their voices. Kimmel and Colbert have built their careers trashing conservatives and amplifying every harmful smear, all while giving Democrats a free pass.
This silence makes one thing obvious: liberal Hollywood only cares about #MeToo when it hurts their political enemies. When it’s one of their own, it’s crickets. Where’s the outrage? Where’s the righteous indignation? Globalist interests and their Hollywood puppets don’t care about women or victims when truth gets in the way of their agenda.
America deserves better than this cherry-picked outrage and selective silence. The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer. Maybe if Swalwell had an “R” next to his name, the jokes would be flying and Kimmel would be demanding justice. But when it’s a Democrat? Not a peep. How long will Americans put up with these double standards before tuning out these frauds for good?
