The Energy Secretary, Ed Miliband, has become the poster child for this mess. He’s spent his time championing heat pumps and solar panels that don’t work when the temperature drops or the sun isn’t shining. At the same time, the government has slammed the brakes on North Sea oil and gas projects—resources that could actually keep the lights on and the radiators hot. It feels like leftist elites care more about impressing international activists than protecting their own citizens.
This green experiment isn’t just nonsense—it’s dangerous. Working families are left to worry about how they’ll heat their homes, while investors chase taxpayer-funded windmills and fancy panel installations. All of this supposed “progress” is built on the backs of regular folks whose utility bills just keep skyrocketing. No other developed country would be foolish enough to freeze out its own citizens on purpose, just to score points with globalist organizations. Britain has the natural resources to be energy independent.
