Washington, D.C. elites still haven’t learned a thing. President Trump is finally breaking his streak and attending the so-called White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and the liberal media can barely contain their outrage. They can pat themselves on the back at their precious “nerd prom,” but they’re really just out of touch, failed gatekeepers who hate being reminded how little the American people think of them. Instead of doing real journalism, these career D.C. hacks are busy plotting protests—because nothing screams “objective journalism” like throwing a tantrum when the big, bad orange man steps into the room.
For years, Trump didn’t bother to show up to this disgusting spectacle of mutual self-admiration. He had better things to do—like fighting for the forgotten men and women of this country, not schmoozing around with people who spend their lives attacking him and conservative Americans. Now that he’s finally decided to make an appearance, the crybabies in the press pool are melting down faster than a snowflake in July. The sight of their arch-nemesis walking into their playground—and daring to smile—drives them absolutely crazy.
It’s no surprise that these self-obsessed journalists are demanding protests and walkouts. They preach “tolerance” but can’t handle even sharing a room with someone they disagree with—especially Trump, the man who exposed their lies and bias for all to see. These media insiders act like they’re saving democracy, but can’t even stomach honest debate or civil interaction. Hypocrisy is too mild a word for this crowd. They hold their awards and fancy dinners, yet sneer at middle America and anyone who refuses to toe the liberal line.
The truth is, these correspondents aren’t threatened by Trump’s mere presence. They’re threatened because he represents everything they can’t control—American patriotism, common sense, and the will of the people. They’re terrified the spotlight will shift away from their smug routines and onto the real issues plaguing this country. Heaven forbid the American public notice how broken, self-serving, and irrelevant these media dinosaurs have truly become.
So the journalists will march, whine, and pretend their opinions are facts. But no amount of phony outrage will convince Americans to trust them again. The circus rolls on, but ask yourself: Why does the media throw a party for themselves every year if they actually cared about truth—or are they just mad that Trump’s the only one in the room with the guts to call out the sham?
