Is Competence Too Much to Ask For?
Let’s get real: America used to stand for something. Hard work. Accountability. Doing the right thing, even when it was tough. Now? Those values are on life support because our so-called “leaders” would rather talk circles around the truth than roll up their sleeves and do their jobs. The pathetic state of American competence is embarrassing, and everyone but the elites seems to notice.
Every time Americans turn on the news, it’s more evidence—everywhere you look, liberals in power just keep fumbling the ball. Border crisis? They shrug. Skyrocketing prices? Ignore it, blame someone else. Everyday families are worried about basic things—putting food on the table, feeling safe walking home, hoping their kids actually learn something at school. But the folks in charge? They’re busy virtue signaling on social media. Tackling real problems is beneath them. Apparently, it’s easier just to blame everyone else—especially if you can work in a cheap shot about conservatives.
This isn’t just everyday incompetence. It’s chronic irresponsibility. The so-called experts love to tell the rest of us how backward we are if we don’t blindly follow their every order—meanwhile, they can’t manage anything more complicated than a press release. It’s a clown show, and real Americans are stuck picking up the pieces.
Remember when being in public office meant actually serving the public? These days, liberal politicians act like accountability is offensive or even “dangerous.” Meanwhile, globalist interests and special donors line up for handouts, and working Americans are treated like an afterthought. We see it with every new headline: the people in power serve themselves, not the country. When they mess up, they just move the goalposts or distract with some made-up crisis.
At this point, nobody’s asking for perfection. Just do your job. But the bar for competence is in a hole so deep, Democrats might need a ladder to find it. How long are Americans supposed to settle for leadership that can’t even handle the basics? Isn’t it time this country demanded more from the people in charge—before they run everything into the ground for good?
