There’s no such thing as being “too skeptical” of today’s so-called mainstream media. The trust that millions still place in legacy outlets is, frankly, baffling. Want proof? Just look at how the left-leaning media brushed off a bombshell about the Southern Poverty Law Center doling out money to extremists. Their excuse? The FBI does it too! As if that’s supposed to make us all feel better.
Let’s get real: the SPLC loves to wrap itself in the flag of fighting “hate,” but now we find out their wallets are open to the very same people they claim to oppose. Instead of outrage, the media shrugs. Can you imagine the circus if a conservative group pulled something like this? The headlines would never stop. But when it’s a darling of the activist left, the establishment yawns and looks the other way.
Democrats just can’t give up the fantasy that they’re the brave warriors against racism and so-called “white supremacy.” It doesn’t matter what their allies actually do. It doesn’t matter how deep the hypocrisy runs. The Democrat media machine will keep spinning their stories, no matter how ridiculous they sound. Apparently, the truth is just too inconvenient when it’s your side caught with dirty hands.
It gets even uglier when the excuse is that the FBI engages in the same shady behavior. Since when is “the government does it too” an acceptable defense? If anything, it’s a sign of how rotten the whole system has become. The elites, the bureaucrats, and the media giants are all playing from the same corrupt playbook—one set of rules for themselves, another for the rest of us.
So, when someone tells you not to trust the legacy media, don’t laugh it off. Don’t fall for the smug lectures from liberals about “disinformation” and “fact-checking.” The real disinformation is coming from these very institutions, desperately covering for their own. When will America wake up and demand accountability from these globalist mouthpieces? It’s past time to stop trusting the media—haven’t they proven, time and time again, that they don’t deserve it?
