Another disaster nearly landed on American soil, and only swift action from law enforcement stopped it. This time, the nightmare almost played out in the heart of New Orleans, right as America gets ready to mark the latest anniversary of that gruesome ISIS-inspired attack on Bourbon Street. It’s proof that evil never sleeps, and the threat to our country is growing—thanks to weak leadership from the left and their endless hand-wringing about “tolerance” and “diversity.”
Let’s not forget what happened when an extremist took a Ford F-150 Lightning—a virtue-signaling electric truck, by the way—and plowed into crowds celebrating New Year’s. Fourteen innocent lives were snuffed out in a matter of moments. Fifty-seven more men, women, and children were injured. The killer, armed with a powerful rifle and a Glock, reminded the world that Islamic terror is not something from a decade ago. It’s not “over there” anymore. It’s right here, fueled by radical ideologies our leaders refuse to confront.
Now, a former cop—someone trained to protect, not destroy—was just taken down before he could unleash the next bloodbath. Authorities averted tragedy, but the question is: how did we get to this point where even those we trust to defend us can become so twisted? Maybe it has something to do with the steady drumbeat from globalists and progressives, telling Americans to turn a blind eye, to doubt their own eyes and ears, to keep lowering our guard for the sake of woke social experiments.
Time and time again, liberal policies make us more vulnerable. The borders are a joke. The justice system coddles criminals. The media pretends that every warning sign is just “Islamophobia” and not a real threat. Instead of focusing on protecting Americans, the left obsesses over climate change, pronouns, and foreign wars. Meanwhile, terrorists plot under everyone’s noses—and carnage follows.
This near-miss in New Orleans is a hard lesson. We need more vigilance, more courage, and leaders who actually love America. Enough with the excuses. Enough with bowing down to radical ideology in the name of “compassion.” How many more close calls will it take before the left wakes up? Or do they even care as long as it helps their anti-American agenda?
