Hasan Piker has once again shown the worst side of so-called “progressive” thinking. When faced with the shocking murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Piker couldn’t help but twist the facts for his own twisted narrative. Instead of calling out violence for what it is, he turned the killer, Luigi Mangione, into some kind of left-wing folk hero. It’s disgusting, but sadly, not surprising from radical influencers these days.
Piker defended Mangione by claiming he was a victim of “social murder” by the healthcare industry. This kind of excuse-making reveals just how out of touch the far-left has become. When violence erupts, the left is quick to blame society, corporations, and capitalism—never the criminal. It’s the same tired song: blame anyone but the person holding the weapon. This is the dangerous road we walk down when personal responsibility is thrown out the window.
Let’s be clear: defending or even condoning the murder of a business executive because you don’t like the healthcare system is not bold, it’s insane. Liberals scream about the importance of compassion and empathy, but only when it fits their agenda. Where is their empathy for the Thompson family? For the thousands of employees whose lives have been shaken by this senseless act? As usual, the left puts ideology ahead of real people.
America’s healthcare system isn’t perfect, but that’s no excuse for violence or for leftist talking heads to justify it. This normalization of hatred toward successful Americans—businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and job creators—shows just how far the anti-American left is willing to go. If the tables were turned, and a conservative even hinted at justifying violence against a liberal CEO, the outrage would never end.
Hasan Piker and his followers want a country where feeling offended is a free pass to mayhem. It’s time Americans wake up and realize that this kind of rhetoric isn’t just lazy—it’s dangerous. When will the left start condemning violence, instead of cheering it on in the name of “social justice”? Or is that just too much to ask?
