Conservatives across the country have been demanding real reform for Section 702 of FISA—the infamous law that lets bureaucrats spy on folks without a judge’s say-so. But after all the talk of protecting freedom and stopping the swamp, House Republican leadership just rolled out their latest “spy powers” bill, and guess what? It’s an utter betrayal.

Everyday Americans want one simple thing: if the government wants to snoop on our private lives, they should need a warrant. That’s common sense, straight from the Constitution. Kids learn it in civics class. But for some reason, the political class in D.C. just doesn’t seem to care. Instead, they’re more interested in giving unelected officials and faceless agencies even more power to dig through your messages, your phone calls, your life—no questions asked.
