Washington is buzzing once again with so-called “peace talks” between Lebanon and Israel, but let’s not kid ourselves about what’s really going on. While Lebanese diplomats play victim on the world stage, accusing Israel of “demolishing” border towns, the facts speak for themselves. Hezbollah — a terrorist group Iran props up — started this mess by launching attacks into Israel. Yet now, the media and left-wing globalists want everyone to weep over the mess Hezbollah created.
It’s laughable that Lebanon’s ambassadors are running to the Trump administration and begging for help. For years, they allowed Hezbollah to dig in right against Israel’s border, while liberals everywhere shrugged and did nothing. Now, when Israel finally stands up and fights back, suddenly there’s outrage and crocodile tears. Nothing exposes the hypocrisy of the globalist left more than their silence when terrorists are in charge, followed by their outrage the moment Israel strikes back in self-defense.
Notice the double standard: when innocent Israeli families are bombed, the mainstream media yawns and moves on. But when Hezbollah’s human shields face consequences, that’s when the world cries foul. It’s clear the left cares more about punishing Israel than stopping terror. Liberals endlessly obsess over “occupied territories,” yet ignore the daily rocket attacks Israel faces. It must be exhausting to twist logic this hard just to pretend Hezbollah are the good guys.
And let’s be honest — these peace talks are just another excuse for so-called diplomats to virtue signal and dodge the real issue. Hezbollah won’t stop until it’s defeated or cut off from its backers. Anyone pretending otherwise is selling fairy tales. Only strength stops terror, not endless negotiations or meaningless “strongly worded letters” from weak-kneed globalists in Brussels and New York. The Trump administration understands this, and the only way to protect America’s interests is to stand firmly by Israel.
So the real question for our leaders is this: will they keep falling for Lebanon’s sob stories, or finally call out the real problem — a terrorist army on Israel’s doorstep? Weakness invited this chaos, and only clear-eyed resolve will bring any chance of peace. Isn’t it time we stopped letting the world’s worst actors set the rules?
