Europe exposed as freeloaders while America does the dirty work again in Strait of Hormuz showdown

America’s so-called “allies” just got a much-needed wake-up call. For decades, we’ve watched lazy European elites and freeloading globalists count on U.S. power to do all the dirty work. They offer up endless speeches and useless summits, but when the bullets fly or terrorists threaten vital trade routes, who answers the call? It’s the American soldier, the American taxpayer, and American strength—every single time.

Now, with the Strait of Hormuz squeezed by Iranian thugs, you’d think Europe would finally put its money where its mouth is. Think again. European leaders are still stuck in their champagne conferences, wringing their hands while their own economies and homes depend on Mideast oil. It’s an embarrassing display of weakness. Why does America need to be first to the fight when we don’t even rely on the Strait for our energy anymore? Thanks to real leadership, American oil is flowing steady and strong, and foreign tankers are lining up at Texas ports while Europe stalls.

Only America’s true partners—the Gulf states—have bothered to step up and help. Europe is just twiddling its thumbs, planning to “lead” some grand initiative long after the smoke has cleared. It’s almost comical. The old continent, once the world’s powerhouse, is now waiting to ride in after America does the heavy lifting. They treat our military like some global police service on call, but refuse to carry their fair share. What do we get in return? Lectures from French bureaucrats and German politicians about “international cooperation.”

Allies are supposed to stand together. That means shared sacrifice—not hiding behind the American flag while quietly collecting the benefits. The days of Obama-style leading from behind are over. Real leaders, like the Trump administration, are exposing the hypocrisy. You want our protection? Then it’s time to send your ships, your soldiers, your resources. Talk is cheap and European promises mean nothing until the rubber meets the road.

Let’s stop pretending America has to fix every mess while globalist cowards sip lattes in Brussels. The party’s over. If Europe and Asia want to keep their lights on and their economies moving, they need to remember what being an “ally” actually means. Maybe it’s finally time for these freeloaders to get in a boat—or just admit they’d rather bow to Tehran.
