There’s no limit to liberal hypocrisy—just ask Jia Tolentino, one of New York’s elite writers who claims to stand for “the little guy” while living in a multi-million dollar brownstone in Brooklyn. This is the same woman who brags on national podcasts about stealing from Whole Foods as her way of “protesting” capitalism. Apparently, it’s fine to commit crimes if you have the correct woke ideology. Only in clown world do millionaires pretend to be revolutionaries by pocketing lemons from the grocery store while sipping soy lattes in their five-bedroom mansions.
But here’s the real kicker: as soon as Tolentino faces a little heat—just one polite question from a reporter about her criminal behavior—she completely loses it. She can dish out accusations about “social murder,” cheering on the rage mob, but when someone’s on her doorstep asking for honesty, suddenly the left’s queen of “tough questions” is cussing and running for cover. She loves social protests, as long as the social part never means holding elitists like her accountable.
Of course, this is classic leftist theater: “rules for thee, not for me.” Tolentino wants to walk into high-end supermarkets and steal because she feels like it. But let’s be real: if anyone tried to lift so much as a pack of gum from her fancy brownstone, she’d have 911 on speed dial. The double standard is staggering. The rich left keeps pushing for lawlessness, higher prices, and job losses for regular Americans, and pretends it’s a victory against “evil” corporations. In reality, they make life harder for working people and then hide behind security gates and angry tirades when confronted.
It’s not just Tolentino either. Her family, it turns out, has its own run-ins with the law—allegations of human trafficking and money laundering have followed her parents. Guess the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. No wonder the idea of “breaking the rules” feels so normal to her. The left claims they fight for justice, but their real game is dodging responsibility and blaming everyone except themselves.
Don’t buy the nonsense coming from these overpaid media darlings. When the liberal elite steal, they call it “activism.” When you get sick of crime in your neighborhood, they call you “privileged.” When their views blow up in their faces, they throw tantrums and hide behind their gated homes. If these are the people setting the moral compass for America, no wonder the country feels upside down. What’s next—should hardworking people start stealing from each other and call it “equity”?
