The liberals love to lecture ordinary Americans about “progress.” They yell about building high-tech hubs, green energy monsters, and big-city pet projects—always in someone else’s neighborhood. Yet when the so-called “progress” comes knocking in their own quiet corners, guess who’s first to slam the door shut? That’s right, the same crowd that demanded everyone else put up with their big ideas suddenly wants nothing to do with it.
Take what just happened in the Susitna Valley of Alaska. Some big shot floated a massive data center for the sleepy community. Locals—who cherish their quiet, rural lifestyle—said absolutely not. The plan crashed and burned, just like every time regular Americans stand up for themselves. Do you see the pattern? Liberal elites dream up expensive, disruptive projects, hoping someone else will deal with the noise, the mess, and the chaos. But when it’s their own backyard, suddenly it’s all about “protecting the environment” and “preserving character.” Classic hypocrisy.
This “progressive” agenda isn’t about real people. It’s about pushing globalist schemes onto small-town America. Ordinary folks pay the price while rich liberals reap the rewards. They claim to support the community—until the community says no. Then out come the lawsuits and the name-calling. Just look at the latest drama: a so-called “homeless shelter” that was supposed to be the pride of the left. Now the very people who cheered it on are dragging it into court! Talk about a backstab.
It’s always the same. Left-wing politicians win votes with big promises, then run screaming when those promises affect their elite supporters. They love to say everyone should sacrifice for the “greater good,” but not if it means one inch of their own property values might drop. For them, rules are for the rest of us. Their own neighborhoods always get special treatment.
People are fed up with being guinea pigs in the left’s social experiments. Enough is enough. If the woke crowd really believes in their pet projects, let them build the data center right next to their summer cabins. It’s time to call out their double standards. Why won’t liberals live by their own rules? Maybe deep down, even they know their ideas are bad for America.
