Schumer slammed for attacking Border Patrol as border crisis explodes

It’s becoming clearer by the day whose side the Democrats are really on—and it sure isn’t the law-abiding citizens of America. This week, Senator Chuck Schumer, a powerful liberal from New York, let the mask slip during a heated late-night debate about funding the Department of Homeland Security. Instead of standing up for the men and women risking their necks on the border, Schumer claimed that nobody respects Border Patrol or ICE in this country anymore.

Let’s get this straight: men and women in Border Patrol and ICE put their lives on the line every single day. They face violent cartels, drug smugglers, and human traffickers who threaten our communities. Yet, Democrats like Schumer go out of their way to tear them down. With progressives calling for open borders, it’s no surprise their leaders try to undermine those who defend this nation. It’s almost as if the Democrat party wants our borders to be open and our safety at risk.

Retired Border Chief Gregory Bovino didn’t stay silent after hearing Schumer’s ugly remarks. He joined many Americans in calling out this insult, saying it perfectly summed up exactly what today’s Democrat party stands for—disrespect for law enforcement, and disrespect for America’s security. No wonder the border crisis keeps getting worse. When you have politicians cheering on illegal immigration and spitting on the brave agents trying to keep us safe, how do we expect things to improve?

This is the liberal playbook in action: create chaos at the border, bash the people trying to stop it, and then pretend they care about American families. All while globalist interests and leftist activists get what they want—a weakened America with no control over who comes and goes. It’s hypocrisy at its finest. They want walls and private security protecting their own homes, but when it comes to hard-working Americans and their families, suddenly, border security is “offensive.”

Anyone who still believes Democrats care about the rule of law is fooling themselves. Schumer’s out-of-touch rant proves the left’s priorities. It’s not about keeping us safe. It never has been. Maybe it’s time liberals stopped running their mouths and actually backed the agents on the front lines. Or is that too much to expect from politicians more worried about woke approval than American lives?
