The Left’s war on innocence just hit another low in North Carolina. It seems the radical activists aren’t content letting kids enjoy childhood—they’re bent on stuffing schools with books that most parents wouldn’t even want on their shelves at home. Now, they’re pushing stories featuring explicit LGBTQ content into elementary libraries, all while pretending it’s just “diversity.” Let’s not kid ourselves. This is not about teaching children to respect others. This is about grooming them into the Left’s rainbow army.
When parents protest, liberals start whining about “banned books” and “censorship.” Yet, isn’t it strange? The same people who scream for these books in schools get squeamish if anyone dares to read a passage out loud at a public meeting. Suddenly, the material is “inappropriate.” But for little kids, apparently, it’s fine. The mental gymnastics are Olympic-level.
Take the recent circus act in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. The superintendent, Rodney Trice, couldn’t see anything wrong with showing an image from “Granddad’s Pride” to children—even though the scene in question had men in bondage gear sharing a romantic moment. He brushed it off with the classic progressive double-speak: love is love, nothing harmful here, just community members going about their daily business. As if guys decked out in full adult costumes are parading through small-town North Carolina on a Tuesday afternoon. Does anyone actually believe that?
This isn’t San Francisco—where even there, you’d have to hunt to see something this out of place. Yet, the Left wants to slip this into the hands of our eight-year-olds. They’re pushing boundaries so far that they make ordinary Americans look “extremist” just for wanting what was common sense ten years ago. What’s next? There seem to be no limits when children are involved. Parents can’t trust school officials to protect their kids, and the Democrats keep proving how far out of touch they are with real America.
Liberals love Orwellian language and sleight of hand. They speak of “community” while ignoring basic decency. They scream “tolerance” while steamrolling anyone who disagrees. No wonder their party is losing support. Maybe next time, instead of worrying about their globalist pet projects, they should try listening to regular families—before it’s too late. How much more are parents willing to tolerate before the tide finally turns?
