Attendees scattered, ducking under tables as police shouted orders and scrambled to secure the building after a shooting nearby. The high and mighty “guardians of truth” were reminded in an instant that being close to power doesn’t make you safe from real-world dangers.

It’s telling that this mess happened steps from President Trump himself, while the so-called best and brightest were focused on schmoozing and selfies. Maybe if these left-wing journalists spent half as much energy addressing the real threats Americans face every day as they do attacking Trump, their parties wouldn’t turn into war zones. But no—these people would rather mock heartland citizens with their smug jokes than deal with lawlessness growing right outside their ivory towers.

Let’s be honest: This is the liberal establishment in a nutshell. They’ve spent years calling our police racist, demanding gun control, and blaming conservatives for every problem. Yet when shots ring out in their own backyard, who do they count on? Not their cocktail buddies, but the brave men and women wearing the badge. Suddenly, law enforcement isn’t the villain. Suddenly, they want order and protection. The hypocrisy is staggering.

These elite journalists, eager to sell us open borders and woke policies, can’t even keep their own events safe without armed security. Remember that the next time they lecture middle America about “gun violence” or “militarization.” The liberal media preaches peace while hiding behind walls and security details whenever the real world intrudes on their luxury. And the globalist interests funding their galas? They’re nowhere to be found when bullets fly.

Here’s the question no one in that ballroom will ever answer: If the left can’t protect their own at the heart of Washington D.C., why should any American trust them to protect our communities? Maybe it’s time these elites get a taste of the insecurity they’ve forced on the rest of us.
