Democrat Jamie Raskin wasted no time jumping on TV, declaring this could be a “moment of unity” to push for universal background checks. Isn’t it telling how the anti-gun crowd never misses a chance to stand on the graves of victims while pushing big government control?
Every time something terrible happens, Democrats pretend it’s just proof America needs more gun laws. To them, regular Americans aren’t responsible enough. The solution? More checks, more bureaucracy, and more hoops for law-abiding citizens to jump through. Meanwhile, criminals will keep finding guns the same ways they always have—ignoring every law on the books. The reality is, no background check stops a determined criminal. Only good people with the ability to protect themselves can do that.
The hypocrisy is stunning. These same politicians who call their parties “safe spaces” surround themselves with armed security and high walls. But they want regular Americans to be sitting ducks—relying on 911 and hoping help arrives in time. They ignore the root causes of violence—broken families, failed schools, open borders, and cultural decay—preferring to blame the inanimate objects in our homes.
