Chaos and panic hit the Washington Hilton Saturday night, right as elite reporters and celebrities schmoozed inside for the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. A gunman burst through the hotel, stunning the liberal media crowd who spend all year lecturing everyone else about “gun safety” from behind velvet ropes and armies of private security.
It’s always the same crowd—piling onto Second Amendment supporters, blaming law-abiding gun owners for every crime, and whining about “dangerous rhetoric.” But the moment real violence knocks on their gilded door, the progressive establishment hides behind thick walls and men with guns. Not a single peep from these so-called defenders of democracy about their own failed policies that leave Americans defenseless on the streets every day.
The fact remains: liberal-run cities are plagued with violent crime. Anti-police, anti-gun, pro-criminal policies have destroyed public safety. They host fancy galas, pat themselves on the back, and pretend to know what’s best for middle America. Meanwhile, the people footing the bill for their parties go home to neighborhoods that aren’t half as protected as the WHCA dinner.
What’s even more infuriating is how fast the mainstream media will bend over backwards to avoid confronting the real issue. When violence comes close to their bubble, it’s an “isolated incident.” When regular Americans have to deal with it, suddenly it’s everyone’s fault, and the answer is always fewer rights for hardworking patriots.
How many more wake-up calls do these globalist elites need? Maybe it’s time they stop lecturing us about so-called “gun control” and start respecting the rights and realities of the people they claim to represent. Because when danger is real and seconds matter, you won’t find a liberal journalist running toward it.
