California Democrats have done it again. They claim they’re going after the billionaires, but, as always, it’s really a scheme to squeeze everyone. Remember when income tax was little more than a “rich guy problem” in 1913? Back then, barely a handful of Americans paid any federal tax. Now, the government demands a bite out of nearly every paycheck. That’s the classic bait-and-switch. And liberals in Sacramento are ready to outdo Washington’s con.
Under this new so-called “Billionaire Tax,” they’re not just targeting earnings—they want to tax assets and net worth. Houses. Savings. All of it. But here’s the trick: there’s a sneaky provision buried in the bill. If passed, it gives politicians an open door to expand the tax far beyond the super wealthy, without voters getting another say. All they need is two-thirds of lawmakers willing to rip off the people. Blue state bureaucrats just can’t help themselves.
If anyone thinks the rich won’t pack up and leave, they’re kidding themselves. Millionaires and billionaires didn’t get rich by being dumb. Once those big wallets flee California, who do you think will be left holding the bill? That’s right—the middle class, retirees, hard-working Americans. Suddenly, that “billionaire” tax becomes a middle-class nightmare. Average citizens could be forced to sell homes and assets just to pay Sacramento’s next shakedown.
It’s never enough for the far-left. They call it “justice,” but it’s about power and control. They resent anyone who dares to own a home or build a nest-egg. To these globalist elites, middle-class families are just one more obstacle standing in their way. California Democrats won’t stop until everyone “owns nothing”—except, of course, for the political insiders and their cronies.
People better wake up to this scam. If they let politicians push it through, who’s to say the rest of America won’t be next? At some point, regular voters need to ask: how much more are they willing to sacrifice for failed, socialist experiments?
