The liberal media circus didn’t waste a second before stooping to new lows just to smear President Trump. On prime time television, a so-called “journalist” from that most hollow of legacy news shows, 60 Minutes, decided it was appropriate to amplify vile accusations against Trump by reading out loud from a gunman’s alleged manifesto. The left has completely lost its moral compass if it thinks this is even close to what journalism looks like.
Is this what America’s trusted reporters have come to? Parroting the fantasies of a deranged criminal right into the living rooms of honest, hardworking families? It shouldn’t take a political genius to see the game being played here: find any excuse—even the twisted scribblings of a gunman—to attack Trump, distract from real issues, and tarnish his name with unproven, disgusting slurs. These media elites don’t care about the truth or about families traumatized by violence. They only care about scoring political points for their globalist buddies.
Norah O’Donnell, the 60 Minutes host in question, chose propaganda over professionalism. Instead of seeking facts or focusing on the victims, she gave airtime to the shooter’s hateful manifesto that spewed wild accusations against the former president. Absolutely disgraceful. What signal does that send to unhinged radicals? The more vicious and outrageous your claim, the more attention you’ll get from the liberal press. These people are fanning the flames of division, then pretending to wring their hands about the chaos they help create.
It’s beyond hypocrisy. The same left-wing media that lectures America about “responsible reporting” has no problem repeating sick lies about Trump whenever it serves their agenda. They cry about “misinformation” and “dangerous rhetoric,” but hand a megaphone to madmen who slander anyone who stands in the way of their radical plans. There is not an ounce of shame in these newsrooms — just a hunger for ratings, outrage, and the destruction of their political enemies.
Trump is absolutely right to call out this disgraceful behavior. America needs leaders who will tell the truth and call out the media for their toxic double standards. How many more times will the mainstream press cross the line before Americans finally say enough is enough? Is this really the “free press” our founders had in mind—or just a tool for the left to silence, smear, and destroy anyone who dares to stand up for this country?
