While most Americans were rightfully wondering if our nation’s capital is safe anymore, the liberal ruling class immediately went into damage control mode.
No surprise, Barack Obama couldn’t resist grabbing the spotlight. It’s almost like the man can’t let a single “crisis” unfold without parachuting in with his patented lectures. The Solomon of Martha’s Vineyard just had to remind us all how wise he supposedly is, as if the average American can’t see through the act. The blue-check crowd was all set to exploit the carnage for their typical gun control narrative, ready to blame the so-called “right-wing extremists” they claim are lurking behind every bush. Only, once the facts started trickling out and it became clear the shooter wasn’t the convenient villain they’d hoped for, their outrage pivoted faster than a D.C. spin doctor. When the left can’t use a tragedy to attack their political opponents, suddenly the whole story isn’t so interesting.
Maybe the real issue is that liberal elites care more about spinning the news than actually fixing the problems wrecking our country. They roll out their talking points at lightning speed, but when those same talking points blow up in their faces, they pretend nothing happened. It’s a game, but nobody outside their shrinking bubble is laughing anymore. Americans are sick of being lectured by out-of-touch Ivy Leaguers who think they can control the narrative, no matter the facts.
Ask yourself: when will our so-called leaders start serving the people instead of themselves? Maybe when pigs fly or the newsrooms of D.C. finally tell the truth. Until then, count on the same hypocrisy, double standards, and empty rhetoric from a leftist elite that’s more committed to their own power than to this country’s wellbeing.
