America just watched as King Charles III of the United Kingdom stood in front of Congress and addressed our so-called leaders. That’s right—two hundred and fifty years after our Founding Fathers kicked out the British crown, now our politicians are rolling out the red carpet for their king. Does anyone else see the irony here?
Today’s spectacle says a lot about the sorry state of leadership in Washington. Liberal elites love nothing more than to fawn over foreign royalty and globalist celebrities. Meanwhile, ordinary Americans are struggling to afford groceries, pay their bills, and feel safe on their own streets. Still, Congress has plenty of time to give King Charles a standing ovation. No time for parents who can’t find baby formula, but always time to wine and dine a monarch.
Let’s not pretend this royal visit is just about “diplomacy.” King Charles doesn’t just represent the British people. He’s also the poster child for climate alarmism and globalist nonsense. Liberals in Congress eat it up, drooling over speeches packed with calls for more regulation, more foreign aid, and more power for unelected elites. They’d rather take advice from a British king than listen to hard-working Americans who want energy independence, border security, and freedom from government overreach.
Remember, this is the same crowd that lectures Americans about democracy and self-government. But when a king from across the ocean strolls in with his lectures about how we should run our country, suddenly the left can’t clap loudly enough. Where’s all that anti-colonial talk now? It evaporates the second they get a chance to rub elbows with foreign royalty.
The Founders rebelled for less. Maybe it’s time our current leaders learn a little American backbone and stop bowing—literally and figuratively—to foreign influence. Are we still a free country, or just a sideshow for the global elites?
