There was a time when leaders didn’t flinch at telling the world where America stands. Sadly, with the current White House asleep at the switch, it’s taken a foreign monarch, King Charles III, to stride into Congress and remind us what real leadership sounds like. Instead of pandering or apologizing, he championed the U.S.-U.K. alliance and told the world that the West needs to grow a backbone—especially on Ukraine.
While most Democrats spent the last few years bowing to globalist nonsense and apologizing for American strength, King Charles had the guts to put Western resolve front and center. He understands that tyrants only respect power, not the wishy-washy virtue signaling we’re getting from the Biden administration. It’s embarrassing when an outsider seems to care more about American freedom than our own leaders do.
What really turns the stomach is how all the liberal pundits and D.C. elites wring their hands about “tone” and “optics” but can’t even keep order in their own backyard. The recent shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner—an event that’s supposed to celebrate press freedom—shatters their smug bubble. Law and order used to mean something. Now, under progressive rule, chaos is just background noise.
The message was clear: if the West lets its guard down, we invite disaster. The leftists would rather lecture their own countrymen than face down real threats from Russia or any other thug regime. King Charles reminded everyone what’s at stake if the U.S. and U.K. turn soft—freedom isn’t inherited, it’s defended by bold leaders, not by timid bureaucrats or woke activists.
It shouldn’t take a British monarch to tell Congress what it should already know. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for our so-called leaders to stop playing politics, call out evil where it lives, and act like the free world actually matters. Or is Washington just too addicted to its own dysfunction to hear the wakeup call?
