The people of New Jersey’s 7th district have finally heard a peep from their missing Congressman, Tom Kean, Jr. After nearly two months off the job—silent, absent, and unreachable—he finally bothered to issue a statement. But let’s be honest, folks: Kean left his district twisting in the wind. In a time when Congress is hanging by razor-thin margins, every Republican voice and vote counts. Yet here’s Kean, nowhere to be found, ghosting not only his own voters but party leadership and fellow Republican colleagues from the Garden State.
Where was Tom Kean Jr. while Joe Biden and the globalist left hammered away at American energy independence, open borders, and out-of-control spending? Apparently, he thought a taxpayer-funded disappearing act was acceptable. Meanwhile, courageous Republicans were holding the line in D.C., fighting back against Democrat chaos. New Jersey families struggling with Biden’s inflation got radio silence from their Congressman. It’s inexcusable.
It’s not just about showing up for votes—although, in today’s House, every single vote matters. It’s about trust. If you decide to run as a Republican, you’d better be there when it counts. While Tom Kean sat in hiding, liberty-loving Americans were getting crushed by socialist policies. Yet, he couldn’t even give Speaker Johnson or the other Jersey conservatives a heads-up? That’s politics as usual for the establishment, and it’s the kind of behavior the grassroots have had enough of.
Let’s face it, Republican voters are sick of weak leadership. Too many RINOs jump ship when the going gets tough or when liberal elites pull the strings. It doesn’t help when one of our own vanishes on the taxpayers’ dime. Meanwhile, Democrats and their corporate media pals never hesitate to smear conservatives for any absence, real or imagined. But where’s the media outrage when Kean, a supposed Republican, goes MIA? They’re more interested in covering for their buddies than demanding accountability.
If Republicans want to take back New Jersey—and America—it starts with courage. Show up, stand up, and fight back. Voters deserve answers, not vague excuses and no-shows. Maybe Tom Kean Jr. should ask himself whether his seat is still worth the trust of real conservatives. Because when the left is working overtime to destroy everything great about this country, the very least our Representatives can do is show up to work.
