The liberal media is buzzing about new numbers showing Democrat James Talarico supposedly beating both Ken Paxton and John Cornyn in a prospective Senate race. They want conservatives to panic. But before anyone falls for this left-wing fantasy, let’s take a hard look at the facts and—most importantly—who’s behind this so-called “polling.”
The so-called Texas Public Opinion Research poll claims Talarico has a narrow lead on both Paxton and Cornyn. But the organization pushing this narrative is run by a liberal activist who worked to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. The man running this outfit wasn’t just a minor player, either—he led strategy and “voter expansion” for the Texas Democratic Party and even worked for the Clinton campaign. Now, suddenly, his operation is producing numbers that magically help Democrats in a state they haven’t won statewide since mullets were in style? How convenient.
People are right to be skeptical. This isn’t research, it’s wishful thinking dressed up as data. There’s a reason Democrats haven’t won statewide in Texas for decades. Texans know what liberal rule brings: open borders, sky-high crime, endless taxes, and woke insanity in schools. Talarico’s so-called lead relies on cherry-picked demographics, ignoring the way leftist policies have driven Hispanic voters and independents closer to the Republican Party in the real world.
If the Democrats really believed their own propaganda, they wouldn’t need to rely on left-wing operatives pushing suspect polls. Look at the actual Republican numbers—Paxton and Cornyn are locked in a fierce battle, which only shows the energy and ideas within the GOP. Meanwhile, the Democrats are still hoping to dupe Texans into thinking they’ve suddenly become a bunch of left-wing activists, all because of some polling from a Clinton staffer. It’s laughable.
No matter how much money leftist billionaires and globalists pour into Texas, they forget that working Texans are smarter than they think. The mainstream media’s talking heads can swoon over flawed Democrat-friendly polls all they want. But real Texans know what’s at stake and aren’t about to hand over their state to radical elites and clueless socialists. The left can spin their numbers and peddle their fear all day—but Texans are ready to fight for their freedoms. Are the Democrats really dumb enough to think they can fool us again?
