It’s almost poetic when the people who love to call others “violent extremists” turn out to be the real threats to public safety. Case in point: a former January 6th prosecutor, Patrick Scruggs, is now headed to jail — not for standing up to government corruption, but for stabbing a fellow driver in a shocking road-rage fit last year. You can’t make this stuff up. The same crowd that wants to throw the book at patriotic Americans for walking through the Capitol, carrying flags and taking selfies, is now being escorted behind bars for actual violence.
Imagine the outrage if someone wearing a MAGA hat did half of what Scruggs did. The liberal media would have it on every front page, screaming about “right-wing extremism” and “danger to democracy.” But when it’s one of their own, someone who played a role in hunting down conservatives after January 6th, the silence from the left is deafening. Where are the prime-time panel discussions about accountability now? Nowhere to be found.
Even the famous “Lectern Guy,” who became a symbol of the government’s overreach and double standards, sees the irony. He faced the wrath of the justice system for a misdemeanor—meanwhile, the prosecutor who led the witch hunt against him is caught red-handed, literally, in a violent meltdown. But do liberals care about justice? Seems not. If you’re on their team, your scandals get swept under the rug. If you’re a regular American, expect the full weight of the system to crush you.
The hypocrisy is almost too much to stomach. For years, the left has painted conservatives as the real threat, the violent ones, the “insurrectionists.” Turns out, you’re not safe from a leftist prosecutor even in traffic. These are the people with the power to destroy lives, and this time, his own reckless behavior did him in. Shouldn’t Americans be asking why so many in the liberal legal elite seem to crack under pressure? Maybe it’s guilt. Maybe it’s just the rot at the core of the woke establishment.
This stabbing case should wake everyone up. The left’s obsession with punishing political opponents is projection in its purest form. The people screaming about MAGA “violence” can’t even control their own impulses on the highway. Maybe it’s time the real investigations focused on them. Why trust these people with our justice system at all?
