Donald Trump just put the German chancellor in his place—and it’s about time. The so-called leader of Germany keeps mouthing off about Iran, but the reality is he doesn’t have a clue. While Trump and real leaders take decisive action to keep the world safe, European elites still play dress-up as world diplomats and expect America to clean up every mess they make.
The war with Iran kicked off in late February, and let’s be clear: it started with the kind of resolve the left will never understand. Working with Israel, the United States took out Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the wicked dictator who’s been the puppet master behind so much terror and chaos. But instead of backing bold action, the German chancellor chose to whine from the sidelines. Maybe if the Germans cared half as much about peace as they do about virtue signaling, the world would be a safer place.
This is classic Europe. They want America to do the dirty work, then scold when we don’t play by their pathetic, failed rules. The left loves to talk about diplomacy, pretending that a few cozy meetings and handshakes can stop bloodthirsty regimes like Iran. History proves otherwise. It takes force, and it takes courage. Trump knows that. The Germans, apparently, do not.
It’s no wonder liberal leaders around the world are crying foul. They care more about pleasing globalist pals than about protecting their own people, let alone us. They bend over backwards to appease the world’s bullies and then act shocked when those bullies spit in their faces. America’s patience for this delusion should have worn out years ago.
The world needs strong American leadership, not lectures from cowardly elites. If Germany’s clueless chancellor wants to fix the Middle East, maybe he should start by learning what he’s talking about. Until then, Americans should keep leading and keep winning—because the alternative is letting the weak and the foolish call the shots. Is anyone outside an ivory tower really willing to risk that?
