Across the western world, something ugly is festering beneath the surface — and it’s putting brave warriors at risk for doing the jobs their politicians begged them to do. In Australia and the UK, so-called “leaders” are now targeting their own decorated special forces with brutal, retroactive prosecutions. These men risked everything fighting for freedom alongside American troops. Now, instead of medals, they get threatened with jail by their own governments.
This mess has nothing to do with justice and everything to do with bending over to leftist mobs at home and hostile “global human rights” busybodies abroad. Gutless politicians want to signal how virtuous they are by turning their backs on battle-tested heroes. They chase headlines instead of common sense, letting political correctness gut the very units that kept their countries safe.
Big shock: these witch hunts are killing morale faster than any enemy bullet. Why would anyone step up to serve, or trust their country, when the reward for winning a dirty, necessary war is a trial back home? Recruitment collapses. Veterans get tossed aside. Families suffer. All for the sake of making limousine liberals feel better in their cozy parliaments.
Let’s be honest — the only real crime here is how fast the supposedly “free world” now sells out its own protectors. If Washington had an ounce of backbone, we’d stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our allies and call out this self-destructive lunacy. But today’s politicians seem more worried about offending United Nations bureaucrats than defending the very people who defended them.
Enough is enough. When will Western leaders stop punishing warriors for winning wars? Or has the left decided that pandering to angry activists is more important than safety and honor? The real question is: if this anti-hero crusade keeps up, who’s going to fight our battles tomorrow?
