House Republicans are finally showing some backbone. Against all the cries and complaints from the left, they’ve taken a first big step to get Department of Homeland Security workers paid and our border somewhat secured. This procedural vote isn’t everything yet, but you can feel it—the tide is turning.
Let’s be honest, Democrats love to talk about “compassion,” but they sit back and let critical agencies like DHS scramble for paychecks. While border agents worry about their families, the left worries more about political optics and pleasing their globalist donors than protecting America. How many times do these so-called “progressives” need to show us whose side they’re on? Spoiler alert: It’s not ours.
For months, American families, police officers, and DHS employees have been left twisting in the wind. Liberals drag their feet, claiming they care about national security, but their actions scream the opposite. Maybe if we were talking about sending more of OUR money overseas, they’d have voted in a heartbeat. But when it comes to actually funding those who keep us safe at home, suddenly it’s delay, delay, delay.
Even on issues like FISA funding, Republicans have had to carry the load. While left-wing politicians play games and dream up more ways to spy on law-abiding Americans, it’s conservatives who are fighting to get real personnel paid and vital resources funded. Democrats want control—not security.
The left’s hypocrisy is on full display. They claim to care about workers, then sit back while those same workers pray for a paycheck. They repeat tired slogans about “security,” yet block real solutions. If Republicans had waited for Democrats to do the right thing, we’d be waiting through the next election. Thank goodness someone finally stood up. Maybe the real question is: How much more proof do Americans need before they see who’s really fighting for them?
