It’s a sad day in America when our President is forced to duck bullets anywhere near a so-called “celebration” of the mainstream media. The recent assassination attempt targeting President Donald Trump around the White House Correspondents’ Dinner wasn’t just an attack on the man—it was an attack on every American who still believes in free and fair elections. The silence from many corners of the left is telling. While liberals love to scream about “dangerous rhetoric,” where’s their outrage now?
The entire episode grabbed the attention of the world stage, and even King Charles III—yes, foreign royalty—found it necessary to address this shocking act of violence. The King spoke directly to Congress, condemning the attempt and warning that such evil can’t be allowed to win. Strange, isn’t it? Globalist leaders seem to have more guts to call out political violence than some of our own media elites and D.C. insiders. Maybe they’re too busy polishing up their “resistance” tweets or handing out journalism trophies at their elitist galas.
What does it say about Washington’s liberal establishment when it takes a British monarch to fill the leadership vacuum? Maybe if the left showed as much concern for the physical safety of their political rivals as they do for their own smug cocktail parties, violent actors would think twice before turning disagreement into bloodshed. But we all know the left’s playbook: ignore or downplay any violence that isn’t aimed at them.
Let’s not kid ourselves. These attempts on the President’s life aren’t born in a vacuum. They’re fed by rage from the left, stoked by talking heads who mock, dehumanize, and demonize anyone who dares to defend America-first values. Our enemies, foreign and domestic, are watching. They see a divided nation. They see double standards—where conservatives are harassed for speaking the truth, but leftists riot, threaten, and sometimes shoot, then shrug and move on.
The royal rebuke should be a wake-up call. If the King of England—on the other side of the pond—can find the decency to condemn violence against our President, maybe it’s time our own media and Democrats get off their high horses and do the same. Or is basic decency too much to ask from them these days?
