Once again, Senate Republicans had to play defense against reckless liberal schemes in Washington. This time, Democrats tried to ram through a vote on war powers involving Cuba. They’re desperate to weaken the power of the President to protect our borders and our people. But Republicans saw this disaster coming from a mile away and stopped it cold.
Only two Republicans crossed the aisle—Susan Collins, as usual, and Rand Paul, who seems to think America should always stand back and do nothing. Just as shocking, Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat who talks like a tough guy, actually stood with Republicans and voted against his own party. What does that tell you about the stupidity of this resolution?
The Democrats keep pushing these “war powers” stunts. They act like they’re defending peace, but it’s just another excuse to tie America’s hands. The left loves using red tape and endless rules to stop the country from defending itself. Maybe if they spent half as much time protecting our border as they do protecting dictatorships like Cuba, we wouldn’t be drowning in chaos.
The globalist crowd in D.C. would rather take their talking points from Havana than listen to the families in Texas or Florida. They want to score cheap political points by pretending to care about war, while ignoring the real threats right on our doorstep. It’s all show, no substance—just another chapter in their long-running blame-America act.
Republicans did what was necessary: stand tall, stand firm, and keep America safe. Meanwhile, the left can’t decide if they want to babysit Communist dictators or kneecap our military. Maybe next time Democrats cook up a hair-brained scheme, someone should remind them—real leadership means putting America first, not Cuba’s feelings. When did protecting our own country become such a radical idea?
