Supreme Court hands Democrats a big win liberals cheer as justices redraw Louisiana’s map for them

The Supreme Court has done it again—overriding the will of the people in Louisiana by tearing down their congressional map. The justices claimed the state’s second majority-Black district violated the so-called Equal Protection Clause. But let’s call this what it is: another example of brazen judicial activism, bending over backward to please the radical left’s obsession with race-based politics.

Liberals scream about “democracy,” yet they cheer every time a handful of unelected Supreme Court elites dictate how states should draw their own lines. Louisiana’s voters elected their state lawmakers to handle exactly this job. But when the outcome doesn’t fit the Democrats’ identity politics, suddenly the cry goes up for judges to intervene. The hypocrisy reeks stronger than a swamp in August.

We all know what this is really about—power. Democrats can’t persuade Americans with their disastrous open-border policies, inflation, or their constant attacks on family values. So they run to the courts to rig the system in their favor, slicing up districts in a way that guarantees them more seats. They dress it up as “fairness” and “equal representation,” but anyone paying attention knows it’s a desperate play to stay relevant.

It’s especially rich coming from the same crowd who whine about “globalist” influence, yet want Washington, D.C. bureaucrats and leftist lawyers controlling local decisions in places like Louisiana. Where’s the respect for state sovereignty? Where’s the belief in letting communities decide for themselves? Apparently, those core American principles only matter to liberals when it helps their cause.

This ruling isn’t justice. It’s pandering. If the people of Louisiana wanted their map changed, they could speak up at the ballot box. But apparently, Democrats don’t trust regular Americans to make the “right” choices. Maybe if their ideas weren’t such a dumpster fire, they wouldn’t be forced to rely on courtroom power grabs. How long are we going to let the left write the rules of our democracy from a judge’s bench?
