The left promised us that antisemitism was a thing of the past—just another relic of an ugly history that’s supposedly behind us. Yet here we are, months after Hamas unleashed hell on innocent Israelis, and hatred against Jews isn’t fading. It’s morphing, spreading, festering in college campuses and so-called “progressive” cities. The attack occurred last October, but if you listen closely, you still hear the same old lies, the same chants, the same venom spewing from the mouths of activists who claim to be about “human rights” but can’t even stomach the idea of Israel defending itself.
Liberals want everyone to believe this hatred would quiet down once the headlines moved on. They said people would move past the violence once the world settled back into its regular distractions. They were dead wrong. Instead, this surge in antisemitism is acting strangely—it’s not retreating. It has clung to the far left’s identity politics like a parasite, infecting every protest, every university event, and every left-wing rally supposedly about peace.
It’s no coincidence. The progressive elite, obsessed with their own empty virtue signaling, never cared about rooting out bigotry unless they could use it for votes or headlines. The reality is, their silence fuels the fire. The left lectures the rest of America about tolerance, yet turns a blind eye to antisemitic mobs screaming for Israel’s destruction. Apparently, the rules only apply when it suits their globalist narrative.
And let’s not forget Taiwan. While the Biden administration and the DC establishment navel-gaze, China grows bolder. The world’s bad actors are watching America drop the ball, too distracted by culture wars to protect its friends and freedoms. Every time our leaders fumble the ball on Israel or Taiwan, they broadcast weakness for all to see. Is this what the left calls leadership? Have they learned nothing from history’s disasters?
This isn’t accidental. It’s incompetence. It’s a symptom of a movement that prizes ideology over reality, feelings over facts. While the left wrings its hands and lectures conservatives about hate, their own blindness allows the oldest hate of all—antisemitism—to slither back into polite society. Maybe it’s time to stop pretending the progressive agenda is about justice. Maybe it’s time to ask why the loudest voices for tolerance are always silent when Jews are under attack.
