When the United Nations announced that Iran landed a vice-presidential seat on a nuclear non-proliferation panel, the so-called “global leaders” made it crystal clear just how far they’ve fallen. Yes, Iran—the same regime that has thumbed its nose at international law and played games with nuclear development. Our own United States issued loud objections, but did anyone in New York or Geneva actually care? Not a chance.
This isn’t just laughable, it’s insulting. These U.N. bureaucrats claim they’re standing guard against nuclear threats, yet they hand the keys to the henhouse right to the fox. Iran has spent years lying, cheating, and bullying its neighbors while the West shrugs. And now, thanks to endless globalist hand-wringing, Iran gets a front-row seat at the table meant to keep the world safe.
Let’s be honest—this isn’t about peace or safety. This is about appeasing the world’s most dangerous regimes while lecturing the United States on “fairness.” The very same liberals who panic about weapons in American homes are all too eager to trust a secretive, belligerent dictatorship with a leadership role in nuclear policy. The hypocrisy oozes from every marble hallway at the U.N.
Where are the voices from left-wing politicians demanding accountability? Nowhere. They’re too busy “respecting the process” to stand up for basic common sense. Weakness like this is exactly what encourages bad actors around the globe. Iran should be answering tough questions. Instead, thanks to the United Nations and the naïve globalists, it’s being rewarded with even more power.
How many times do Americans need to watch these radical bureaucrats undermine our security and dignity? Iran on a non-proliferation panel is like inviting an arsonist to join the fire department. Maybe the United Nations should just change its name to the Club for Rogue Regimes. Why not? At this point, they make a mockery of real leadership.
